Class 11th and 12th students of Aarohan who are ready to pursue higher education. Climbing Shikhar (Peak) and staying on Shikhar is a hard task. These students have been able to reach the top as they were always academically inclined. They wanted to pursue a career through academics. They fulfill the true meaning of Shikhar. These students were hardworking and bright and Aarohan has supported them since they were very young. They were given after school tuitions in all subjects. Once they reached classes 9th and 10th, they were   given professional tuitions in subjects like Science and Mathematics by young and highly committed teachers. Along with the teachers at Aarohan, the credit for the success of the students who manage to reach Project Shikhar rests with the dedicated volunteers who have always given their invaluable time and effort to the cause. 
The 2010-2011 batch of Aarohan performed exceedingly well in the 10th Class examination this year.  Now they have reached class 11 and it is our moral responsibility to help them pursue their higher education. Most of these students wish to study engineering and have taken up Science. We helped them to choose the stream and career option they are willing o pursue.  However we were discouraged by everyone from helping these students study Science. Our experience says that a child who has scored well and has the aptitude and interest for the subject must take up Science.
The students have got admission now in various government schools in the Science stream. We have planned sponsorship arrangement, motivational classes and professional coaching for them. The students are also taking professional tuitions at Om Shikshaya Namah which is run by one of our members. We are trying to bring IIT students on board as well to motivate and teach the students.
We are committed to provide everything to these students including meals. Through project Shikhar, Aarohan has covered another milestone.

OBJECTIVES:-

• Stream selection is big part of our planning for them. Organizing career counseling sessions is on top of our agenda.   
  
• Motivating the students to perform their best academically, guiding them about future prospects and helping them achieve career clarity.
  
• Encouraging value based education and an awareness of one’s responsibilities as a law abiding citizen are the implicit aims of the work we do at Aarohan.
  
• Looking at the success of these students, many others in the community get motivated to study which results in achieving higher literacy in the country.
