Project Pathways provides after-school tuition classes for children who are already attending government schools from classes VI to VIII. Children are assisted with their course-work, homework and any area where they may need additional attention. Special emphasis is laid on Science and Mathematics. At a very crucial transition from junior to secondary school, the level of academics tends to increase substantially. With examinations held in relatively high standards of Mathematics and Science, children can often feel overwhelmed and inadequate if not provided with after-school academic support. In fact, the majority of drop-outs tend to discontinue studying at this level.
By providing them with quality training and ensuring that they remain abreast with their school curriculum, these children feel more competent to cope with their studies. We are delighted to see that our students have shown great improvement in their academic performance and are motivated students.
Daily follow-up classes are held.
Children from classes VI to VIII are divided into corresponding groups based on the classes attended in school and taught almost all subjects taught in school.
Project Pathways is presently attended by approximately 115 children daily.
OBJECTIVES:
To provide children with follow-up academic support that will enable them to cope with the increased standards in academics, simultaneously, ensure a solid foundation for their secondary education.
